Water festival holiday

Water festival or "Song gran festival" the festival that they told us to believed that territorial gods are shifting their duties. There is no gods on duty during the time. I believed of what they told me. In a poor village house in Tamiram I stayed then in the village of the South, in Pattalung province. We used to think that because of our "kamar" or what we have done in the previous life. What a lie we believed and even now many still believe that lie, but changing to become tradition and local culture. Thanks God to the Lord Jesus Christ who come to redeem us, set us free and become the way and the truth to us.

People believe that during period of shifting gods there will have no protection from them so they have holidays just to enjoy without their gods around. In my village there are opening gambling, bull fighting and they went around with bucket of water some go to river side to pour water to each others. This is the time boys and girls will have opportunity to get to see each others. They dress nicely not just to get wet but to show off as well. Nowaday the thing changed the village game become only sculpture left.

Where the mission for Christ, teaching in tyhe preaching point is in industrial areas during this period workers are going back to where they come from there are not many workers left in the area. Workers came from many places, some of their home town stay as far as Chiang Rai Northern tip province of Thailand. The North Easterners are also flooded the area. Many settle down near their working place but nontheless they want to go back to their home villages. Theu get uased to that sort of life style.

I have a call from the founder Dr. Wiseth that the Thursday's teaching is calcelled that reminded me of my vacation planned earlier. I do not want to bother my co-labour for Christ during the holiday period but they insisted. We then left Conburi earlier at 9.00 am. to avoid traffic in the after noon. Anyway we spent the whole morning in the shopping area before going to the airport in the afternoon.

"Th 5:18 In every circumstance of life be thankful; for this is God's will in Christ Jesus respecting you. "

I left Thailand during the period that their territoril gods are also travelling, the plane left Suvannapumi aiirport at night. During my prayer time in Chonburi I look up to see the star through the window and reminded me of its creator and He is my God, the Almighty who loves us so much. Earlier after the plane left the airport I look outside through the window pane I did not see anything. It is so dark outside as I am thinking about Him who created me that He is so wonderful good much better than any pilots of the world. The pilot flies through the dark with the help of the redar and equipment but my God lead me to the unknown with assurance that He is perfect and surely save we can trust. When I turned my eyes look downward I saw many brinking lights like stars in that darkness. We will become that light of the world with Him.

" Ephesians 5:8 There was a time when you were nothing but darkness. Now, as Christians, you are Light itself.
Eph 5:9 Live and act as sons of Light--for the effect of the Light is seen in every kind of goodness, uprightness and truth--
Eph 5:10 and learn in your own experiences what is fully pleasing to the Lord.

Thank God that I can come to attend Rev. Simmon Potter preaching, teaching and that blessed my heart looking forward to the things God shows us and want us to do with Him. He is wonderful God

'John 12:26 If a man wishes to be my servant, let him follow me; and where I am, there too shall my servant be. If a man wishes to be my servant, the Father will honour him."

The Book of Hope

Few churches gathering to train. The trainner are from Sriracha church, they are quite expert in the field as they do this more than 2 years to reach out to students all over Thailand. Genrally Buddhism is the main religious in Thailand, many schools close the gate to Christianity. They do not seem to accept the truth in the Scripture:

"Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment,
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many. And to those who look for Him He shall appear the second time without sin to salvation."

Reincarnation became their believe and debatable on their ability to do good. Even believe that they can reach heaven by their own strength.

The man in red is a Pastor Sawaeng Koktaisong from Naklua Pattaya church who is a senior among us another Pastor from the school in Hua Kunjae school. The training aims to give the book of hope to schools in Thailand. There are 3 types of book from Kindergarden, primary school, and University level. Inside designed to suit each age group. Book for kids for example has a lot of games but many truths from the Scripture.

Rom 2:5 But according to your hardness and your impenitent heart, do you treasure up wrath for yourself in a day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
Rom 2:6 who will render to each according to his works;
Rom 2:7 indeed to those who with patience in good work are seeking for glory, and honor, and incorruptibility, everlasting life.
Rom 2:8 But to those who indeed disobeying the truth out of self-seeking, and obeying unrighteousness, will be anger and wrath,
Rom 2:9 tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man who has worked out evil; of the Jew first, and also of the Greek.
Rom 2:10 But He will give glory, honor and peace to every man who works good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of faces with God.
Rom 2:12 For as many as sinned without Law will also perish without Law. And as many as have sinned within Law shall be judged through Law.
Rom 2:13 For it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.
Rom 2:14 For when the nations, who do not have the Law, do by nature the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law unto themselves;
Rom 2:15 who show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing one another,
Rom 2:16 in a day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

That will be the reasons for them to know the good news. Thank God for His love the world unable to understand and by that make us stand to serve the Lord because it is His heartfelt. Human.

After Easter visiting

After Good Friday we burden to visit people at Nong Tum Leung area. We prayed about this area for the direction then last night after Good Friday service I have met Ajarn Damrong who at early stage evangelized to the area. Many of them used to come to GPC but later all disappeared. They thought about the church the freindship with the church people but not enough to go over the burden they have at this countryside. The world withhold them more than century by the spritually binding darkness of the adversary. They still believe in false gods, false worship. The lady who has accepted Christ last year November 2006 but right now she faces more problems about her own drinking habit and her husband has found another wife some where else. As we visited them all stories came out. They really need His mercies as they desperately need His love and forgiveness. We do not visualise of what are real reasons of their seeking God. The lady in the picture who wear yellow t-shirt used to have one talisment on her neck but we have found more during this trip. They still worship everything as before even the mole hill infront of her house. Her quality of life burden us to come back to have cell meeting and some follow-up teaching.

Thank God for His mercies that as we were there another couple non-believers were also there. The good news preached but seem they were not ready. We asked for there address for next time if the Lord lead us to. They stay another area near-by. One or two spread the gospel few of us prayed for His mercies.


"Psalm 67:1 May God be merciful to us, and bless us, and cause His face to shine on us. Selah.
Psalm 67:2 So that Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.
Psalm 67:3 Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples thank You."

Man in yellow is Ajarn Dumrong who has heart, and burden for the area is moving up to help as Man (his name) was telling one of non-believer the good news. It is not easy to tell them, as he is not ready but we believed it's divine's appointment. Man started to tell them about God from book of Genesis and used the children's Bible story to tell the man about God. He accepted halfheartedly about God but tried to reason out. His heart heart half closed.

When we were there few addicted dropped by and asked for money from the lady in yellow. One of them breath alcohol we can sensed that would be from the early heavy drinking. A lot of works in the area. Lord we prayed that as we have limited ability and strength God, You are the only resource who can help them, pull them out from that problems. Equip us as well that we can have all we need to reach those people. Abandon children are also in this area. Christ is their only hope. Bow Win area is much better compares with this area. Thank God for the needs we have seen, both for the old people and the young young, future of the area. The area is also infested with burglars, drug addicted. Christ is their only hope.



"1Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those being lost, but to us being saved, it is the power of God.
1Corinthinas 1:19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the perceiving ones." -------------------
1Corinthians 1:21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom did not know God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe.
1Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews ask for a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom;
1Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness.




We felt responsible for not taking care of these new believers properly. The Lady is unable to walk but her attitude toward life is so beatiful while crawling around praising God. They children are somewhere else at work near their working place. Her faith in God is comforting her. Her life with God in her heart make her husband seek God, and eventually accepted Christ but he still have a habit of drinking and got drunk as usual.

"Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your sons, even I.
Hosea 4:7 As they were increased, so they sinned against Me. I will change their glory into shame.

This is another lady who ran away from the church ealier but now paralyse unable to walk. We removed idol from her house but seem people keep coming back with idols. We removed the one just next to her after asked permission from her.

" Psalm 50:16 But to the wicked, God says, What is it to you, to declare My Precepts, and to take up My covenant in your mouth? "

" Hebrews 11:16 But now they stretch forth to a better fatherland, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

As we burden for the people of the area we pray that:

1. Ajarn Damrong or some one else strong enough to be blessed by the Lord to accept the responsibility to be able take charge of the preaching point. We can not see any possibility to raise the preaching point there. No finance, no pastor, nothing but just faith in the Lord that He is able.

"Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the ages were framed by a word of God, so that the things being seen not to have come into being out of the things that appear.

2. Preaching point to hold the meeting of that area, to teach, to hold cell group meeting, to conduct worship gathering, and expectation for the long term.

3. Potential of growth to the area that the Lord will lead this preaching point to be independent on the financial support. For us we can not see that the fund can be raised from that kumpong.

4. Church in this context have to depend upon the Lord, we thinking about house church but we know Him better enough to walk by faith to raise up this impossible. We see our burdens are too heavy to take by ourselves but He is God.

5. Let us see "Who our God is?"
