Earlier when we visited Pa Jongkol a Christian's daughter want to accept the Lord Jesus Christ.
She told us that she heard about Jesus from her mother. K.Dum taught her some of the basic of Christianity then lead her to sinner prayer and lead her to Christ.

We believe Romans 6:23 that...
but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Salvation is free gift of God to us we just reach out by faith and recieve it. We prayed for her before she return to her home town in North Eastern province. During my stay in Singapore she came back and get a job. We belief the word of God in Romans 10:13 .... For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." They just called out to God in the name of Jesus. Salvation belongs to the Lord. We have just do our duty.
Luke 12:2 Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
Luke 12:3 Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.

Therewere only 3 children when we arrived that day (27 October 2007). It was a Buddhist holiday, "Ok pansar" (marks the end of Lent). It is at the end of the rainy season, in October. Many of them go to temple to do good deed as an act of self righteousness even many who have accepted the Lord to be their Lord and Savior ealier. Their dressed up nicely with Buddha token hang out on big golden chain around their necks. Even we know the Salvation belong to our God we still a bit overcasted about the situation. We also felt the resistance came from their non-believers' parents. Two of them climbed up the tree across the road because their parents were not allowed them to join us. Wehave just fogot that we are just his servants and we will not be worthy untill he has finished His meal.
Pa Samruay used to practice witchcraft before she accepted Christ then she became paralyses but now any time we went to visit her house we saw some evidence that she still practice those things.
She probably accepted Jesus as another God as many people do in the area. They still worship those plastic dolls as a good luck charm still. In this area of Nong Tumleung they have one way or another worship some form of idols but called themselves Buddhist.

Ephesians 4:19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity.
Ephesians 4:20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!--
Ephesians 4:21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,
Ephesians 4:22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,
Ephesians 4:23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
Ephesians 4:24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
As we came out to visit a couple who so called new Christians. Her husband still working for the temple even they accepted Christ.

Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."
We learn that the house is now vacated as the previous tenant has already moved out. We asked her weather we can take over with a cheaper rental. She reluctance at the beginning but told us that she needs to consult her daughter first.
Luke 16:11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches?
Luke 16:12 And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?
We came to stop for late lunch. All looked at camera except K.Dum he prefer his noodle in the bowl. The big group of children are from GPC to come to have experiences of what we're doing. These group of children will help us to train others in games and cultural show. They will help Sunday school teacher after we have proper place for activities even teaching them to read the Gospel.
After meal K.Dum take turn to talk to the lady gambler.

1Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
At 3.00 o'clock we rounded up sent the children home.

1John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1John 1:6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
1John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Forgive us Lord for intended and not intended we have sinned against You and Your people and many we have missed the marks. We will hold You Lord Jesus as our advocate interceed for us as You used to be in John chapter 17. that you have prayed for us intensely.
1John 1:10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Return to Chonburi, Thailand

Genesis 15:13 Then the LORD said to Abram, "Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years.
Genesis 15:14 But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come out with great possessions.
Genesis 15:15 As for yourself,
you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age.

The highlight is the promises of God to Abram our fore-father of all God's believers.

Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Sunday 14 October 2007

Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isaiah 6:9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
Isaiah 6:10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
Isaiah 6:11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

Yesterday I saw my wife put yellow highlighter to these verse then I asked what are you doing. Her answer is "I have the song ring in my heart quite sometime already". I told her that these verses are God's Word. And when you have burden in your heart it means that God is calling you but don't jump into conclusion until you have conviction.
I told her about my story that it is my heart desire to live the word out as I believe that God is calling I will take action. Many people even told me that "you are so impulsive", some just look at me and turn away. I realised that when God starts to call you and you just know you would like to boast that God the creator of heaven and earth communicate with you people will not blieve that. I know that sometime I talked too much untill it become my stumbling block and want to give up. Faith in God has difference levels. We read the same book "the Bible" but we percieve the interpretation differently.

1Corinthians 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
1Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

This appears to be true for many people who are so rich, powerful. Especially moral teachers many try to keep what they teach either right or wrong they decieved themselves. I have this experioence before "Good News" revealed the truth then that truth has set me free. The only truth in this end-time is He is the way, the truth and the life. That He is Lord Jesus I will not know and understand this until we open our heart and accept Him as our Lord and Savior. After we accept this 2 basics and then we will know that only Jesus is enough for all things in our lives in this world.

I invite Lord's prayer for us as a basic truth what He really means to us.

John 17:6 I have made your name known to the men you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
John 17:7 Now they realize that everything you gave me comes from you,
John 17:8 because the words that you gave me I have given to them. They have received them and know for sure that I came from you. And they have believed that you sent me.
John 17:9 I am asking on their behalf. I am not asking on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you gave me, for they are yours.
John 17:10 All that is mine is yours, and what is yours is mine, and I have been glorified in them. John 17:11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by your name, the name that you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one.
John 17:12 While I was with them, I protected them by your name that you gave me. I guarded them, and not one of them became lost except the one who was destined for destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
John 17:13 "And now I am coming to you, and I say these things in the world so that they may have my joy completed in themselves.
John 17:14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, for they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
John 17:15 I am not asking you to take them out of the world but to protect them from the evil one.
John 17:16 They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.
John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth. Your word is truth.
Joh 17:18 Just as you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.
John 17:19 It is for their sakes that I sanctify myself, so that they, too, may be sanctified by the truth.
John 17:20 "I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their message,
John 17:21 that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be one in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
John 17:22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one.
John 17:23 I am in them, and you are in me. May they be completely one, so that the world may know that you sent me and that you have loved them as you loved me.
John 17:24 Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, which you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
John 17:25 "Righteous Father, the world has never known you. Yet I have known you, and these men have known that you sent me.
John 17:26 I made your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love you have for me may be in them and I myself may be in them."

Amen. Do you see that how much God loves us?

God's Purpose Methodist Mission

Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. [KJV.]

This verse came to me during arrangement to have psychological test. Frankly speaking I don't really like all these things and felt irritated at time before. I took this verse seriously as my foundation to stay on. Do every thing as they say and live my month enjoy what come by. I am even not thinking about what to do next untill the church really finished the procedure they have to do. I prayed that " If the work is not really what God want us to do I am not even to touch it. Every time I called back to those co-workers who are in the field I was assured from the Lord that the work's we're doing is really His ministry as I recieved many revelation and good news of God works through them. I know not only believe but trust in Him that He called and prepared His people. I do not want to do the work of God. I have just tried to empty myself from the old man.

Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
The message from the preaching confirm that we are His beloved sons through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Silent Retreat Saturday – Robert’s Cluster

“Where are you going?” asked John Lim and Paul Low.

We were driving by and just when we stopped at the traffic light near PLMC, John & Paul, who were jogging happened to stop by our car. We lowered the car window and called out to them excitedly. That’s when the question of where we were going popped up. We shouted our reply above the traffic noise: “We’re on our way to a silent retreat!” John shot back: “Then why are you so noisy?” … er…???!

That set the tone for the day ahead, where Andrew Mak & Roland Teo’s CGs attended a combined silent retreat on 29 Sep 07. The idea came from a member who approached Soo Hoong to help organize and facilitate the retreat. About 18 cell members including Robert Chan attended the full day’s event with different expectations. Some shared that they were expectant to connect & hear form God, some were apprehensive about having an intense encounter with the Lord and some were there to find rest.

Soo Hoong shared the story about the explorer who made such good progress in his expedition on the first day, who woke up to find the whole team missing the next day. The reason being, his team believed that after the hectic pace on the first day, they needed time for their souls to catch up; hence they rested the next day. This was the objective for the retreat, that is, to take time away from our hectic lives, to reconnect with God.

The morning slipped away very quickly when we were spending time with the Lord individually, writing letters to Him in response to “How are you my child”. The silence continued over lunch but since we came as a CG, the inevitable happened…we started catching up.

Before long, we were back in the room, refocusing on the Lord and reflecting on Psalm 23. Many of us were amazed how it spoke to us when we focused on the Lord. When asked how the Lord spoke to us, some replied: The “is” in “The Lord is my shepherd…” meaning that the Lord currently and continually shepherds us. Some felt the Lord saying …restores my soul… while some felt strongly about rod & staff. All of us agreed that we never felt this way about Psalm 23 before.

At the day’s end sharing session, all participants were blessed by the Lord in different ways. Some basked in His restfulness (fell asleep…), some received answers to major decisions facing them, some received directions for their life through bible verses revealed to them and some even received a poem. Li Tze (Boon Chiaw’s wife) received the following:

“Don’t cry my child, it is alright.
I am your Lord, and I know your sorrows
Look up and see a better tomorrow.
Rainbow in the skies and the open green fields.
A gentle breeze that will ease your pains
Don’t cry my child, it is alright.
Put each battle with pride,
‘Cause I am with you to help you fight.
Don’t cry my child, it is alright.
Because it is you which is my creation
That I love you with all my pride.”

Yes, the Lord is faithful. “…seek and you shall find…” Let us remember to recharge, renew and reconnect with the Lord.
